The Pond Portal includes an innovate multi-purpose feature that ensures a strong connection to the wall and a water-tight seal with the liner. This strong wall connection is achieved through an anchor on the retaining flange that sets into the mortar layer between each block. This same anchor functions as a threaded system that locks in a retaining flange which is used to compress and retain the flexible liner in place.
Traditionally, open-top window frames are tricky to install because the two vertical sides may slightly bend out of alignment. Pond Portals eliminate this problem by utilizing the retaining flange as part of the installation process to ensure the frame is installed square with the wall and the glass.
